this has to be of some interest to people, cause its about the coolest thing i have seen, and has made me the most giddy. i think it was just placed in a bad section, and it deserves more attention.

with 2 programs you can make it so if you right click and then move your mouse a certain way, your cd rom will open or close, as well as TONS of other things like opening programs, screensavers, restarting, ANYTHING

this is perfect for people with stealthed cd drives, and all in all it is a very useful tool

here is the thread from a year ago

and here are the links

wizmo http://www.grc.com/wizmo/wizmo.htm
strokeit http://www.tcbmi.com/strokeit/

you have to teach strokeit the gestures you want to use. it comes with a whole bunch of pre-installed ones that i didnt want, so i just deleted everything in the actions folder. you'll have to go through and figure out how to set up an action, etc since im too lazy right now. its not too hard and for the arguments field, use "open=F quiet" to open drive F and "close=F quiet" to close it (running the program wizmo.exe of course).

Just did a search on my username and found this... I can't believe no one is really interested in this. I am going to write a frontpage article about it, as I still use these tools at home and at work. I mainly use it for minimizing and restoring windows, so I do not have to mouse up to the buttons on the top right which can be cumbersome when you are in a hurry.

Maybe no one will care about the frontpage article either, but I hope it would atleast get posted so that I could see if I receive any email about it. It is mad handy, and super sweet for awe factor when you show it to someone.

That looks interesting. I mostly use keyboard for computer and try to use mouse as rarely as possible, but sometimes you just "have to", so this is the moment when these programs may be useful.
