WAY WAY WAY back when i remeber that microsoft released a phone ( house phone) that had a usb interface
the basic idea was that you run some software on the pc and it could read the caller id and do a number of diffrent things based on when and who called
example is it could send certian number straight to answering machine
or anounce over the speakers some one was calling
it had options for diffrent voice boxes and the ablity to listen to them over the internet
and i do belive it also had an option to forward your calls to like a cell phone if you set it up that way.
Im pretty sure that MS gave up on it fairly early but the idea has always stuck with me and i was wondering if anyone out there knew if there was a sim ilar product out on the market today that didnt cost an arm and a leg.
