I understand that many people buy stuff from newegg. Is it a reliable source of computer products. ANy comments on it?

Please see Jon's thread titled ~"head's up on Newegg.com ."

Notwithstanding his valid complaint(which was resolved--I think) I've had good experiences with Newegg. Three or four items, delivered as promised.

I had a bad mobo and they gave me a RMA without any problems ordered a new mobo and with in 12days I had my money back for the return and the new one arrived in 3days so I am very pleased that not only are the prices low they ship fast and you can return stuff if it doesn't work properly.

I've ordered from them twice, great prices, fast shipping, and no problems.

I've been using them almost exclusively. Pretty good prices, and won't kill you on the shipping. I've never had to deal with their customer support. The computer i'm on right now is all newegg parts except for the ram(crucial) and the hsf(crazypc)

I would buy from Newegg again for sure! I placed a fairly pricey order with them, over $300. It arrived on time, everything I was drooling over was included, and in great shape! I ordered Tuesday morning and received it Friday afternoon via FedEx. Their onsite tracking system is pretty cool, it also links to the FedEx site for detailed shipment info. Their tracking lets you know where your order is at in their building, whether it is being processed, verified, packed, and/or shipped. Can't say I have ever seen that before on an e-store. I would recommend them to anyone! I also have been browsing their catalog to check for a items I am wanting, would order from them again without any hesitation!

Go for it, I highly doubt you will have any kind of problem at all!
(there is always that tiny chance, which holds true for any store. Real world or Internet.)

I use them they ship out of California so my stuff came very quickly , it was either 2 or 3 days with standard shipping. I made a 540 dollar order and everthing was factory sealed and packed very well the boxes (part boxes) weren't even crumpled or damaged in any way. E-mails were promt and they included the shipping link or maybe it was just the number anyway they are very profesional.

I will buy from them again.

My experience with them was, on balance, positive. Don't forget to check http://www.resellerratings.com, and to leave your rating there after the deal is done!

Yeh, I had a big problem with them which I will leave all explanation to in the other thread. Mine was probably more of an isolated incident than anything but I really was upset at how they handled it and the instances that lead up to the problem. Bad business in my opinion.

Otherwise, good prices, quick shipping and they did resolve the problem within a day (although I lost 3 days due to a weekend coming up). I would order from them again and recommend them since I've had time to cool off a bit, haha.

I ordered my case from www.newegg.com not knowing the kind of service I would expect. I was so pleased that I bought my cdrw and floppy drive for my new system the same day my case arrived. I'm sure there will come a time that something arrives DOA but that can't really be avoided, but from the other reviews I've seen they seem to handle their RMA's well.

Just like smokeslikeapoet, I ordered from them again. Heck, I check their site the most when I think I need a part. Usually I can talk myself into buying it... depending on the price it might take a little longer.:D

until I have a terrible experience with NewEgg (DOA and impossible to receive RMA service) I will keep ordering from them with little worry or a second thought.

Even though, they are not the least expensive vendor on www.pricewatch.com, I will always check them first. My second order arrived without problem. I wish I had bought the rest of my components from them instead. I was thinking of returning my video card to Best Buy and ordering one from then instead. It'll be cheaper, better, and I won't have to wait 4-6 weeks for a rebate.

I placed a few orders with them over several months.
So far have no complaints. The transactions went smoothly.

At first glance you are right, but when you check the other sites shipping charges Newegg sometimes becomes the lowest priced on pricewatch for the item you want. I have noticed that quite abit. Others charge $10-15 for shipping and the newegg.com is about $4-6 on shipping. You have to watch for shipping costs on any site. They might be low priced, that is only because they make allot of their money in shipping charges!
