Thought the same thing once when building my computer. Can't boot with any fatal errors, and no cpu and no ram are both ways you can't boot.

No, becasue the CPU has a "power good" wire on it, and it wakes up the whole sytem. Whenever current runs through it, the CPU sends a request for all of the other hardware to do their own Power On Self Test.

Nothing like a good shock to lock it into memory:). Good luck on your build.

OK, This Post right here is why I LOVE these forums. People here HELP, rather than just make fun. I've been to other forums where the flames just get soooo [H]ot (if you get my point) that I don't wanna be there anymore. So yeah, BUMP for the nice people on this forum. (The Whole thing, not just the 'Intel CPUs' part)

Peace
John

Yeah, I left some forums that were [V]ery [H]ard to get an answer out of because of the [V]ery [H]ot flames.

Hey, we were all there once. I don't see why people would make fun of someone asking questions. How else is someone going to learn? The people that make fun are just either not mature or they themself are ill educated. Questions are always welcome here. Only once I can remember when things got a little hairy here. The famous "best overclock ever" thread, but thats a different story.

Anyway these forums are for learning and helping, so ask on!;)
