Just imagine the cooling power that fan has to offer! Im sure it's loud as hell, but to me, that's not a problem. I was thinking of ways to make a duct that starts out the same size as the fan then gradually cones downward and focuses on the heatsink. It's kinda like the Iceman air intakes sold for Honda cars...the conical shape causes the air to become more dense and coller as it goes through.

Are you aware this is an AC fan? If you're looking for something in this ballpark that moves more air, go to BG Micro (http://www.bgmicro.com) and order a Panaflo 120mm fan. They have them for about $6. They move about 100cfm. These fans are very quiet for the air they move.

If you want to REALLY push some air around, check out the Comair/Rotron Major DC. BG Micro used to have these for $9 but it looks like they've sold out. There are some people on eBay selling them. Last time I looked the bid was about $10. These things move 235cfm! When attached to a 12v supply they sound a lot like a small vaccuum cleaner.

I have one...it IS very quiet...as in i can sleep with my computer on....not like delta owners....

With the fan i also had to do some custom wiring and use an old plug from a radio...good times.....

It is nothing compared with my noisy delta38

I've used two of them for my blowhole but can't keep one running longer than 4 months and the thing is only warranteed for 1 month. Hope the AC version is more reliable. If you are looking for 120mm AC I have one that was salvaged from a discarded robot control panel at work. They are whisper quiet and run forever. My line right now has two of them on each robot and in 6 years I've never seen one go bad. Email me if you want it.
