Hello every one I am starting to look for a new laptop to replace my aging compaq, has any one bought a PC from here? from the Q@A on the front page they sound pretty good.

Also how does the AMD A64 3400+ 62W do in a laptop?

I've never heard of them, but their Reseller Rating (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1306.html) is pretty good. They haven't had all that many reviews though.

Can't help you on the processor question, sorry.

Well if you want a desktop replacement then go for it...

but if you want something that has more battery life the only option is the intel pentium-m/centrio

RJ Tech is very good. The only complaint I have is that they ship via UPS, and due to newegg using Fedex, my parts get here in an odd space of time. That said, the quality was impressive. The barebones kit I have is an Asus Z80K. I put the 62W AMD 64 3400+ in it, it runs fine, still going to check temps soon though. Doesn't feel warm on the keyboard at all, although the bottom of the laptop does get fairly warm. I purchased 2x512 MB DDR400 RAM from newegg, the stated processor, and a hitachi travelstar hard disk (60 GB, 7200 RPM). All in all it cost me just under 1600 bucks. One warning; unless you're willing to carefull explore your laptop, don't expect many manuals on how to do this. I will say this though; google the phrase 'Asus A2H Installation Manual' if you're going to work on a Z80K, the process is nearly identical. I hope I helped!
