Try taking out that card (and the driver, if you can), to see if that error still appears. Are there any drivers for that card for Windows XP ? And if not, for what OS were the drivers you installed designed for ?
welp i couldnt stop the problem no matter what i did so i ended up formatting and a fresh install..the drivers i used where for windows2000 and yes, the drivers that came with windows xp support my card and it all says it is installed and working correctly but no sound will come out of it..when i installed the win2k drivers the sound worked but then i ran into that problem..

I had the same problem and after getting ****ed off I just found and deleted the devldr32 file. I expected my sound to not work but it worked fine and fixed the problem too
