Have any of you ever modded the power supply itself? For example remove some extra wires that you know would not ever be used? My new case/psu has a ton of wires all over the place, and I wanted to remove a few, but keep a few extra for just in case I may need them. I already have power going to 2 hdds, 2 cd drives, floppy, graphics card, 2 fans, motherboard (of coarse).

What do you guys think?

Cable ties my man. As far as modding goes you can screw around with the pots on the inside and adjust voltages.

Removing the extra wires won't hurt you, but you may wish you had them back some time in the future when you want to add a new peripheral and you don't have an available power connection.

If you cut off the extra wires, be sure to cover their ends with heatshrink tubing so that none of the strands can create a short. Just cutting them flush isn't enough.
