I have 2 main parititons on my drive: a 10 GB windows partitoon and anothe rpartition for my files/games etc. When I try to install things it alwasy defaults to the Windows Program Files directory and I have to change ti to the other partition. This causes problems sometimes with directory structure (like files not having a folder just huge lists of non specifically named files in my Program files folder). Is there a way in windows to make it default to the program files folder in the other partition? Thanks alot.

Start | Run | Type regedit, and click OK | Expand the following branch...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion

You'll need to change two values to reflect where you want the default installation directory to be...

ProgramFilesDir
ProgramFilesPath

Double-click (or right click and select "Modify") each of the above String Values and edit the Value Data as appropriate.
