Walmart Balance and Fry's GQ

The Balance CN4949 and the GQ MX-3201 have stikingly same feature on the case, as follows:
~Same location of right side vent
~Same location of CD
~Same rubber pads on LCD
~Apparently same touchpad keys
~Same type hinge and screen latch
~Same placement of power and shortcut buttons
~Same keyboard layout
~Same location for battery
All these are similar to the ECS G320 and the GQ has the same internal features it looks like, All these are somehow by same manufacturer but branded with separate marks... :eh?:

They could very well be from the same manufacturer. There are very few actual manufacturers for laptops. Most of them you see offered by different brands get their laptops from a big manufacturer, modify them slightly, and assemble them.

yes the bottom one = 1.2GHz and the two above are 1GHz.
Those laptops will struggle to perform with given tasks due to slow proccessor and 128mb ram...i suggest holding on and waiting for sale days.
I picked up my 2.8 celeron 512mb ram 64mb gpu 40gig hdd for $599. not a bad deal at all! patience :) you will thank yourself when you get the deal later
