A little problem¡K¡K.DVD2SVCD->Cinema Craft Encoder SP ver 2.5 (optimiced for PIII !?)
I¡¦ve got several CPU¡¦s and I am not shure witch one to use¡K..ƒº
Does anybody know if there is a differece in ¡¨converting-speed¡¨ when using PIII Katmai (with 512k off-die cache), and PIII Coppermine (with 256k on.die cache).
There is several differences ref. :
http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q2/000511/pentiumiii-01.html
I am using a MSI 6163 PRO, and 256/384 MB Ram, and i¡¦ve got to choose between theese CPU¡¦s.
If there is anybody out there who know this allready, it isn¡¦t much use in spending precious time testing this out¡K
And i mean¡K. Katmai <-> Coppermine at the same clockspeed¡K..and so on¡K.

Thanks in advance (sorry if my english is weird¡K.)
P¡K.

P¡K. The basic rule of thumb is to go with the latest techology which in this case would be the coppermine. Parts are more available, later upgrade is not hindered, compatibility is deminished, and performance is better. You didn't mention a cost issue so I am not taking that in consideration.
