Ok was wondering what the scoop is on these? I know there are 2 cases out that are BTX format, but what about motherboards besides the intel junkers?

Has anyone heard of when more companies will be going to the BTX form? I know I'd like to get a new system preferably dual core when they come out with the new standard.

I am not sure if they will, I believe BTX was designed by intel to cope with the heat of the prescott at high speeds, and since that has been scrapped, there is no real need for it anymore. I know there are several cases, like my CM Stacker, that can be converted to BTX.

I've got a Silverstone TJ06 case on the way, which is "BTX-style". The CPU is positioned at the bottom of the case. The wind tunnel should flow nicely with my dual fan CPU heatsink. We'll see. I'll post pics and results when everything is finally reconfigured.

Well this supports BTX just have to buy the addon for it http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-133-154&depa=1
One of the better ones and people like this one quiet abit http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-112-511&depa=1

Those are just upside down ATX layouts. Nothing BTX about it.

Actually the Thermaltake Armor Black ATX Full Tower Case, Model "VA8000BWS" -RETAIL can support BTX boards.

Also thats why I said mock BTX cases. There are a few others that you have to get optional packages to make it into a BTX case.
