Howdy,

I just upgraded from WinXP SP1 to SP2 and now I can't boot my comp. It gives me the following error:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt C:\Windows\inf\Biosinfo.inf

I checked the MS site and it only has this info. Doesn't really do much good since I can't boot at all. Safe mode doesn't work. Going to the command prompt and manually replacing the file doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong and why does ms hate me?

You may have to do a repair installation with your XP disk, and then go ahead and remove whatever third-party software you think is causing the problem, and then install SP2.
