I’m looking for a very low cost PC $300ish for a temporary setup any recommendations…I don’t need a monitor or speakers just the Computer and OS…What do you think I should get???

There are serveral good deals around the net for those. But, if you want just to surf the web, email, ect. I would get one from TigerDirect, they have a few nice deals on nice pcs - like the Wintergreen Sempron 2400 for $299.99.

56k modem
mouse and keyboard
xp home w/ sp2.
