If it is possible to enable ht with a mod or something to that nature please post. I am dipping my feet back into the intel scheme of things as my primary rigs have been amd for the past few years so i am a bit rusty with whats been going on with intel.

My mobo supports HT but the bios does not show me where i can enable or disable it.

Lol, Nope sorry buddy. Celeron do not support HT technology. Just an FYI but BOTH your MOBO AND CPU must be able to support HT.

lol, yea celerons (no offence) are crappy, however some ppl have had great overclocks with them. And no, they od not have HT, no celeron does.

I figured out how crappy they are when I went from a Celeron Tualatin 1ghz @ 1.33ghz to this one. I am only achieving about a %25 performance increase with folding proteins with nearly 3x the amount of mhz. Slightly disappointed to say the least.

If I can score myself a HT P4 from ebay for a reasonable price or something to that nature, I may consider it, or just go with another AMD system.

Hehe, yeah those older celerons are bad, but the new "D's" are 'ok' but they arent worth the price over amd performance wise.(they are about on par with semprons, but cost a little more.) Try to snag a p4 off of ebay, and you'll be good to go.

I would probably be looking to spend no more than $100 USD on a replacement CPU, after selling this Celeron. Thats a big mabey as I am looking for some other parts for a P-III dualy that was recently donated to me. $$$
