think i got a good 6800ultra.

got my 6800ultra that i aquired from joker15 on anantech forums the other day. the card has no brand name on it, apparently the cards he was selling were nvidia reference cards. anyways, i fired it up in my 754 rig with everything in my system at stock right now while i wait to get my 939 rig up and going. coolbits detected the optimal frequencies to be 461/1220 with stock cooling. :)

so i left it there for 3dmark03. it breezed through effortlessly with no artifacting at all and scored 13331. keep in mind the rest of my system is running completely stock.

i have to say im very pleased so far and eager to see how this card will do in my new rig with some better cooling and a bios switch to 1.5v. :)

very nice dude. might not be stable though. wats your temps? these cards can handle hot temps, and may seem stable, but might not be. try playing a hl2 or halo for a hour or so, see wat happens. i found that if i played hl2 for an hour or so and didnt give me a random restart it was stable. benchmark programs dont put enough stress on the card, and dont stress long enough to see if its stable or not.

i did slap some as5 on the core and mem, and my temps are not getting above 60 at load. really have not done much stress testing at those speeds because im just gonna wait for better cooling. actually i just turned it back down to stock until then. but nonetheless, it looks promissing. :)

did the stock heatsink have thermal paste on the thermal pads? or just the pads alone? because mine had paste on the pads stock...

Sounds like it is going to be a killer card. Ya get so better cooling and oc the heck out of her and keep us posted.
