Can anyone show me how to wire a DPDT switch. I have a 4 pin molex extension cord that I want to use to make a +5v / off / +12v switch for a very powerful fan. Thanks for your help.

PS...I understand the logic, I just need to know which terminal on the DPDT gets which wire.
 
usualy, the middle pin is always on....the side pins are on only if the switch is on that side.....so you got:
1 2 3
2 is connected...usualy ground but you can do what you want...and if sitch is set to the left then it's 1 and 2 connected...if switch is on middle then it's an open circuit. If it's right then it's 2 3.

Middle pin is common, either side is on depending on which way the switch is trown, so, switch up=bottom pins on, switch down=top pins on
