hey, what are your memory timings? I got my 1ghz to 1533 stable before it died. I could never get the fsb over 133mhz to run 3dmark or any 3d app correctly. Good job though.

Great oc !! I love seein' that as I am about to get a 1 Ghz T-Bird. They still seem to be the best for high percent, quality oc'ing :)

Overclocking the 1000 AYHJA Ys is incredibly easy, I would say they're by far the best bang for your buck. I'm going to be experimenting with a 1400 AYHJA Y starting Monday, but no way I'll get the kind of percentage I got with the 1000, those things are like putty! :p

Just wondering if it'll pass the prime 95 calculation test??

I've run mine at 1466 but it fails prime.

I think it's a voltage issue. I can boot at 1523 but it crashes after about 5 mins.

Wega!
09-23-01, 08:34 AM
Yeah I can boot @ 1510MHz but windows crashes after 2 min's. What steppeing is your AXIA theflycore? Mine is a "9".

!-=sky=-!
09-23-01, 08:37 AM
never tried it

wait i install and try it now

**edit**

i don't know how to use the thing!!!
explain to me which one i am supposed to press to test if my cpu passes the test....thx

Prime 95? well, fire it up and choose start? I'll look when i get home.

It'll then just calculate prime numbers. Trying to find them. I think it does a test the first time you install it. Then it'll run calcs for hours if stable. If it's not stable, you'll get rounding errors.

just ask the guy what stepping is the cpu

if he doesnt know and wont tell you then say thank you and walk away

Luie

what do you mean by "stepping " of a cpu?

!!tio!!
09-26-01, 05:58 AM
Well... Let me tell you whats that! AYHJA is the stepping of the CPU! Is like generation of CPU (Is this explaination good enough?)

Well I think AXIA is one of the code that I have seen before

And I found a CPU that has this written
AMD Athlon
A1000AMT3B
AXIA0110MPMW

Top 3lines onyly.... hehe

Well A1000 means Athlon 1000mhz
A means FCPGA
M means 1.75V
T means temp! 90C and I think Q is 60C X is 65 R then Y then T then S!
3 is cache size256KB for this one!
B is FSB (200Mhz) I think C is 266

Then the next roll..... The Letters infront represent stepping (not sure!) and 01 means year 2001 and 10 means 10th week and the rest not sure!

See.... this is all I know!

I thought that the "torture test" in Prime 95 was what was run to test stability.
I could be wrong though.

How do you know if you have a R or Y?
Where can you see it?

Below where it says AYHJA (or whatever stepping you have) on the left, the first letter or number.

Hehe. I beat you. I have my 1 gig axia at 1550 mhz 10 x 155 mhz.

But this is at Vcore 2.3 Volt.
Aircooled with taisol and delta and stock fan on the side.

At 1.92 volt I got 1500 stable 158 x 9,5

You need to convert it to a .gif or a .jpeg and cut the size down. I can't remember how much you need to cut down the size, but the forum will let you know.

*my first really helpful post* (after what teh wisdom of wildone have said) :p

open ms paint (that's included in windows)

open your picture (click on file and down to open)
{shortcut: ctrl + o}

now, after your picture loaded, go to file again and down to save as. save button can also do this.
{shortcut: ctrl + s}

now there is a dropdown button below the space where you type the file's name.

scroll down until you see *.gif or *.jpeg.

Type any name on the space above this dropdown menu and press enter.

volia! you saved and the file size is down to a very small file.

Hope this helps. =)

{ps. i hope i will be a senior member soon}

Athlon OC did a pretty good job of explaning the steppings although they don't mention the 1.0 AYHJA Y's. I have 3 of these and they jumped to 1397 with almost no effort. The highest I tried was 1440 and it was running great (folding@home) but couldn't stick around to monitor temps so I cut it back.
Here's a couple of articles there on the steppings that should help
