I tried running some apps from my Windows partition on wine (the apps were in the program files folder), but it looked like it didn't accept spaces ! How can I use those apps with Wine ?
I find that the easiest way to use WINE is to use your file manager ( I use Konqueror) and right click on the app. Choose 'Open With' and type 'wine' in the dialog box.
If you are trying to run wine from a terminal, and the name of the app has spaces in it, then type :
wine my?app
OR
wine my*app
Using * or ? can both mean one character.

I think you need to use quotes if there are spaces.
As for stuff not working it's hit and miss as to whether things work with it, just keep getting the latest version, every fortnight I believe.

type, at a terminal:
wine myapp
or choose 'open with' and use 'wine'

Uhh, what exactly is the difference between the versions of WINE? I have the one that came with Mandrake8 on there now (finally figured out how to install rpm's!).
I won't be able to test it though cuz my linux box is currently changing from a 166@210 to a 750duron. Heh, that should speed it up... Maybe in my spare time tomorrow (waiting for PSU) i'll turn my 200@233 into a linux machine too...
And Wine dosn't run EVERYTHING, am i correct? Cuz if it did, why use windows at all? (why would you anyways?:D )
*Sigh* I want to find that PSU, then i can post this from linux instead...
And also, are there any advantages of one version of WINE over another version? That'd be kinda helpful too...

You shold install new version of wine every month or so because each version adds support for more apps and has (usually) less bugs
