My P3 700e is running perfectly overclocked from 933 to 1015 :) (will run at 1029, but a little unstable when room temps are up), and has been for the last 10 months.
The computer will not boot on settings below 933! It will not run at 700! I've tried nearly every bios setting in my Asus CUSL2, but can't get it to run below 933. As far as running the computer, I want it to run at the high mhz, but would like to default to 700 for bios upgrades and some program installs. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it? I will appreciate the input. Thanks

Assuming you haven't tweaked every bios setting, maybe reset the bios jumper to defaults and see if it boots then. You may have changed something along the way that's preventing a normal boot.

why do you want to?

Very strange, it defaults at 133, rather than 100! It now thinks that its a 933 processor :D

I guess if the "default" is now going to be 933.....hey that OK! It would be nice to know why it started doing this. Maybe it's a dual operating CPU, it runs at 700 for the first year...........933 the second year..........can't wait to see what happens next year...........maybe it will turn into a 2gig P4! ;) :p :D
