When i first installed my amd cpu i had no stability problems but after a few days i got some strange errors like windows closing and shell extension errors.
I have a 300w psu and a fop 38 heatsink and this is the pc health stats i am getting. i am just running the cpu at spec speed.

cpu temperature 39 C

system temp 26 C

v core 1.81V

3.3value 3.38V

5v value 4.84- 4.93V

12v value 12.6V

from what i have read these specs are well within tolerences if they are corect measurments that is. what i have noticed is that if i keep the cpu temp below 44C does not tend to crash.
Do i have a dodgy chip or are my temp readings way out? as when i keep it below 42 C it is stable .

any ideas of what could be causing these errors woud be welcome.

i am getting p!$$ed off with the noise my computer makes and i am considering constructing a watercooling system.

You may also try to lower your Ram settings and see if that helps

these are the same ram settings as i have before with my duron 700 which was emensely stable and never crashed.

could it still be the psu even though the voltages are not taht bad?

You could try disconnecting any CD or DVD drives you have in, maybe even the floppy, and any case fans. Just leave the proc fan and hard drive connected and see if its more stable. And if you have any fans connected to the motherboard headers, consider changing to 4 pin (buy an adaptor). Might sort things out.

i say beat the darn thing. haha nah try bringing more cool air in. leave the case open and place a fan next to it and see if that works. if not i agree with pab and disconnect any unnesecary drives

the reason the ovrclocker say get a new PSU is cause that 300W may not be effectiv and youmay be maxxin' it out with all the stuff you've got on it.

Go for an Enermax 450/500 that'll sort u out
