Hi guys, I'm at Danger Den's and I'm soooo close to putting my order through. I would like to know what "you" think abouth the TDX vs the RBX Water Blocks though??? I have the whole setup planned out but would like to know which style is better and why? I've been told to get the TDX on the Forum but I'm extremely curious as to why the RBX was never suggested? Price is the same but a Y-Connector is needed for the water coming out of the block ... maybe this is less efficient?

Anyway, the setup is for a Barton 2500 that is running stable at 3400 with good old (but loud) Air Cooling. Pump will be a Eheim 1250 with a 2x120mm Fan Rad, etc ... and all of this is going into a seperate enclosure that will sit directly next to my PC (too cramped inside my rig to put it inside). Thanks for all the help so far guys, cannot wait until I get my dirty little fingers on all the parts, lol.

The performance of the TDX and RBX are near identical. The RBX is "slightly" better in tests, but in the real world you'd probably never notice the difference. The TDX, however, is much easier to install--one less barb and a wider footprint. So, the only real reason to get the RBX is aesthetics, assuming you think it looks better, some don't.

BTW, I do have an RBX--works fine.

The TDX is a good block and easy to plumb. When I chose between the two I went with the TDX primarily because I had a XP 3200 at the time and had heard that there were mounting issues with the RBX and that type of CPU.

I went with the TDX, mainly because it features 2 barbs instead of 3.
