the option for the PCT 1.0 disappeared from my IEs advanced security options and that must be the reason for it not to open several websites. is there anyway for me to get it back or at least to modify it (to enable/disble) into the registry?

Save your favorites and reinstall IE.

I don't know if tweaking the registry will help, but reinstalling should solve your problem in less time.

i thought on that but the problem came out from the 5.5 updating. it was where i lot the PCT 1.0. Should i reinstall back the IE 4.0?

Why not try going up to 6? I have been using it for a week and it seems pretty decent. And they little blue E on my desktop is prettier.
