I'm very new to overclocking and just want to squeeze a little more out of my system. I do very little gaming , but a lot of video editing and authoring. I want to get better memory, but I don't have a large budget. I think I need at least a Gig. for my apps. My current PNY can't take any overclocking and errored on test 4,5,and 6 quickly with memtest86. How is this -PQI POWER Series 184-Pin 1GB DDR PC-3200, Model MD441GUOE - Retail- $155.00 (NewEgg) This is about as High as I can go.

IMO if you can manage alittle more spending $ there is alot of TCCD 2x512 set's that can be gotten for around 220 bux. If you not going to overclock to mush then that should do you well I guess.

I do audio and video editing and would recommend 1 gig of ram. (I did have a gig till I pulled at 2x256 to increase my OC by 350mhz) If you're going to make the investment youi may want to ask how far you want to shoot for in an overclock. Next, read some reviews on the ram you are interested in to see if it will take you where you're looking to go. Jonspd is right in saying that for a few more dollars you can go for a much higher OC, but it's up to you. Just make sure it's stable as you don't want to screw up your editing with errors. Good luck.

TCCD 2x512 set's -are you talking about dual channel , because my board only supports single?
