dual monitor

My friend had his tv using s video, and his monitor using vga hooked up to his 9200...and he had them displaying the same thing. I showed him how to seperate them, so he can drag windows across, but he didnt like it as much. My question is..how do i get it back!? he's mad at me cuz neither of us can figure it out

edit in case anyone else has this question in the future....lol, he turned off everything, unpluged everything, turned on then hooked it all up
