The stock speed is 155 for core and memory..
I d/led Radeon tweaker and tweaked and tweaked and made my own profiles for my particluar system setup.
It seems I can only overclock to 170mhz max (I have modded teh stock heatsink with a high RPM fan)
However if use Asynchoronus clocking I can get the memory to 170 max and the core to 181....This only works with opengl...Direct x locks after exactly 6 seconds everytime...
So here I am trying to figur out why the memory is craping out a 170... Im wondering though of this could because of my PC100 memory on my board (temporay) As they say the AGP bus has a direct link to the system memory. The system does fine in the Video2000 bench for AGPtoSystem memory.
Same with 3dmark2000....3dmark2001 will run but my cpu begges for mercy and not the video card. :rolleyes:
Last night I ran 3dmark2000 batch run for about an hour or so...i woke up to find the system at the windows 2000 desktop...
I tried this again with overclocking and not overclocking...
after an hour something quits and my system restarts itself eitherway and im still haveing the problem with being in a game and the monitor shuts off...but the sound and music is still playing through the speakers..i can hit anybutton once, keyboard or mouse, and I will get a loud *BEEP* through the speakers and then the sound from teh game comes back. I have no choice but to restart my the system...
The heatsink on the card seems to be a good heat conductor as it never really gets hot with fan on or off...That says to me in my opinion that the card is not doing much work...
Any ideas on how to psus this card? And on how getting the memory higher? I am stuck with this system till xmas then I get to put my 1 gig athlon in a DDR board which was gonna be teh soyo dragon but i found out it doesnt reach FBS speeds above 140, I had my beloved KT7A up to 150 perfectly fine....and thats with pc100 memory...dont ask how all i know is that it handled it like it wasnt even being stressed...On this board haveever setting the meory bus to 133 makes the system unstable and these are the exact same sticks from the KT7A...
So any theories? (spelling?)
