Tv out on GeForce2 GTS Pro

Good day, all

I'm getting frustrated .. and thought maybe one or more of you might have seen something/have some info that I dont. I have a Gefore2 GTS Pro from Powercolor, 64MB and tv out.

When I first installed the card and used the driver cd that came with it, the tv out was enabled... then i installed the newest detonators at the time (generic..no tv out support)
but now, I need the tv out ... so after fighting my drivers and lots of reboots and installing vga standard drivers.. i finally got the ones from the cd back on(and working), except no tv out this time..... the option is still there, but it's shaded out and unselectable.

Its really agrivating... anyone have any suggestions?
I'm not using any ovreclocking programs on the card.

Have you tried a 3rd party utility, like powerstrip? Sometimes this is easier then trying to figure out /hard/software company's issues for them.

I had this same problem- here's the conclusion I reached-

All the GTS cards are essentially identical, same RAM, GPU, layout, etc. The TV-out daughtercards are NOT all the same, each is proprietary to the manufacturer. So- any Det driver will run any Nvidia card, but you need the manufacturer's drivers to use the TV-out.

On my MSI GTS, I still use the 7.58 drivers that it came with, so I can use the TV0out. Every time I switch drivers, the TV-out goes away. So I stick with 7.58s

And, it is shaded out because the old drivers are still lingering around- remove ALL traces of ALL Nvidia drivers, and renstall it. Should be ok. You need to do the whole shebang to properly change nvidia drivers- if you don't have to boot at 640x480x256 colors at least once, your not doing it right.
