Here's why. My current provider caps uploading at 128k, not very fast. I need a faster upload so that I can VPN between two offices. I have questions:
1) What is your connection, how fast is your upload?
2) How much is your service per month?
3) Who is your ISP?
4) Any other information would be appreciated.

I have @home w/ Adelphia (was danielvision). They claim to cap at 128K, but on good days I can UL as much as 1 mb/s. My average dl is 2mb/s. I live in a somewhat of a secluded area w/ mostly older people (im 25), so I guess that frees up the cable somewhat!

see if they have a buisness level you can get in to. Here we have roadrunner and they have a busnessclass that has the same UL and DL rates.

GOOD FOR YOU dsl is way more reliable than cable.
the speeds you get on day one are preety much the speeds you will always have 24/7 other than tweaking it and dl accelartors.

Though I appreciate all of your responses, I would like to get a general idea of what kind of price Im looking at to go for a t1 connection. I definitely dont need T3 (up to 45mb/s), but am looking for something that consistently gets around 1-2mb up, same down. As far as DSL goes, I had hell with it. But I am envious of all of you that live close to the CO and can get consistently good up and down speeds. My switch from DSL to cable was my best ever. Price was the same, in addition, it automatically came with 25 new channels for free. But like I said, if you are one of the lucky people that can get a good DSL connection, go for it, else stick with cable.
