I'm new to the forums so be gentle!!!:)

I just built my first system. The specs are in my sig below. I tried running 3DMARK2001 but it would just lock-up on me if I was using the "high detail" of anything. So I used Prime95 to get my temp re****s. I also downloaded MBM5 and cpucool because I had read that the ASUS boards give a faulty measurement. But to my dismay they all read exactally the same. At the moment I am 41°C at idle and if I run Prime95 it will level off at 44°C. Do those temps sound right and if so are the exceptable?

Welcome to the Forum!

Your temps sound . In fact a little too good for me. Are you sure that they are right? Generally speaking is the Dragon Orb not one of the best coolers around. You could have gotten a much better for less money.

your full load temps look fine.. however your idle temps are a bit high... but if u run somethin like distributed.net, seti, folding etc etc then it doesn't matter really :) 44 under load is great!

Thanx for the input..... I know now that "Dragon Orb" is almost a bad word here in the forum, but I purchased it a while ago. Don't hold it against me.... ;) Is Prime95 a good enough program to use and does anyone have any idea why 3dmark2001 would run very well on my machine?
