I have an Abit 9600xt 256 mb w/vivo. stock sppeds are 500/300. It has stock cooling and ramsinks on the memory. According to Atitool, my temps never go above 40C. My problem is everytime I try to OC it, even 5 mhz it does this http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v212/hibner/screen.jpg
As you can see, not normal. I am using the new cat 5.2 drivers and yes it did this when I had the omegas drivers also. Funny thing is, when I use the Overdrive in the ati drivers, It OC's the core to 527 and it runs fine. When I got it 3 months ago I could do 540\320.
Please help me.

Try a different utility like radlinker, when you go to the overdrive tab is there a 3d image or something to stress the card like atitool does?

Yeah, stop using ATiTool. My last 9800 had issues with it too, didn't like frequent speed changes.

Oh yeah!!! I ditched Atitool and got Radlinker. I am already up to 553/337. I got a question about Radlinker though. Does it hurt anything if I adjust the increments under the advanced button, so that I can fine tune my speeds alittle more.

Nah, I use that all the time.
