what's the average oc speed of this aforementioned chip: 1.2 Tbird AXIA? i read the overclockers CPU database but a lot of them didnt have a lot of AXIA's. i also have this chip on a KT7 (Not KT7a) so i dunno does any one know how high the OC can get on a KT7? right now i'm at 1.3 (12.5x104). i was told that 1.2 is the max for the KT7...but since i'm at 1.3 thats not right? can my KT7 handle 133mhz? since this is a 266fsb CPU?

KT7 is manufactured to handle 100fsb i think
KT7A is 133

Usually the KT7 series with the standard(stock) BIOS will only support 1.2GHz but if you've flashed it then higher speeds will be supported. The thing to do is to download WCPUID from here (http://www.h-oda.com/) to verify your O/C & to run SANDRA2001 to see if it's stable. The KT7 will not support anything higher than 115MHz(230FSB). You lucked out there.

HEHE, look at my resaults almost the same though I got 1304.79MHz... What is the first char of the 3rd line? letter or number? what is the FSB of your CPU?
And how good does your bong cooler work? I built one myself and can't make/get a water block :(... And did u make the water block yourself or did u buy it?

well as you can see i'm at 25c load at 1300mhz. my bong cools rather well. anyways i'm trying to go DDR. so new mobo soon and higher clock speeds

If u made it urself could you please tell me how?

It's a RTFM thing if you want to flash your BIOS. Just don't laugh too hard with their english:D

RTFM? whats that? can someone teach me how to flash my bios? anyways. my waterblock is a maze2 from the danger den. www.dangerden.com

Read The F^$%ing Manual. You can go here (http://www.viahardware.com/faq/kt7/kt7faq.htm). They got a tutorial on how to do it. This is the highest I got on my CPU & MoBo combination. I need better cooling to stay at this speed on air.

see you though, have a KT7a. and i have a KT7

Then use the Multiplier to O/C your CPU. Try not to think of what you can't do but concentrate on what you can.

lol i'm at the highest multiplyer setting. 12.5. anyways. i correct myself i'm at 25c IDLE and not load

I think I'd just call myself good with what u have, and work it. You will be very happy with a new ddr mobo and that chip. I've had everything but an Abit, and my personal choice is the Epox 8k7a, I got to 1680 with a 1.4 on air, and a $30.00 cooler. My load is 102f (sorry I don't have a c 2 f converter on my laptop yet)

We all need to take this advice and apply it to everything we do in life and not just in OCing.

LOL! Now that's what O/Cing is to me. Maxing it out untill it won't go any further. NICE O/C DUDE!!

The importers in my country have a KR7-RAID & is testing it but they wouldn't tell me when they would actually sell them. I want the ABIT KR7-RAID

I ran 1330MHz (140x9.5) with an avg. of 1.78V vcore(!!!) stable today... Until my HS clip just cracked... my comp hanged and started to beep, I thought it was the CPU when I heard the crack... Now I placed a different HS on the comp and unOCed it :(
But on Friday I'm supposed to change this broken HS and hopefully I'll get a HS with a copper base... And then try to OC it a little more. the temps rose 1C from the default 1200 to 1330 (57C full load to 58 full load)...

Do you mean the temps? or the broken HS clip? The temps always been that high so I don't care for 1C
