hard drive in external casing

i purchased a maxtor diamondmax plus 9 160gb hard drive a few months back and put it in an external housing/case to use it as an external hard drive.
was working fine but now seems to have stopped working. stopped working after tranporting it, but have done it before and still worked....
when i plug it into the power supply i cant hear the hard drive powering up (whirring) no more...
the make of the housing is "mentor" and model no. "ME-350UF"
also... first the green light on the housing was flashing at first... but now it is just green like it was when it was working...

anyone got any ideas??

check inside and make everything plugged in correctly.

i say its borked...maybe it got hit when you transported it?
