hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you are having the popup problem it didn't fix it, at least for me.

Nothing in the release notes say that it blocks these newer popups. I have read that it should be in the next major release.
ahh ok, thanks I wasn't sure if it was going to fix it.
i never get popups...maybe you got some spyware lurking deep down in ur system?
no this is a recent thing and it's not just me. If you visit the firefox website and check the forums I'm not the only one with this problem. Apparently there is a code weakness in firefox so instead of popping up they are popping under but it is still allowing ads to come through

Nice to know...was going to download this version...will stay with IE since it does block all of the newer popups...

Hi, guys,
Sorry to ask you a Dump question but I have got Firefox 1.0 installed in both W2K and W98SE pcs, which are all working well and keeping various customised Bookmarks. Could I just patch to 1.0.1 by clicking the new Firefox 1.0.1 Setup file and point to their existing Folders without uninstalling my existing 1.0 first in both working PCs??
Thank you!

Does anyone experience delays with 1.01. Then a message pops up stating "cannot find www.yahoo.com" orsomething like that. But when I reload itworks. Does anyone know the problem here? Sometimes it takes a while to load a page.

I've been using it for a couple months now. The only problem I've seen is sometimes it locks up when exiting a PDF. I do get less pop ups. Over all I like it.
