how do i reassign irq's in 2k and xp.
i have a kt7a mobo just if i need that info

You should be able to assign them just like you did in Windows 9x. If you can't then chances are your running ACPI, and you aren't changing anything if your running ACPI.

im assuming thats auto pci nad how do i know and how do i trun it off?

in device manager under computer it will list what your computer is running as. If it says acpi right click pick properties driver upgrade chose rather then search and change it to standard pc
