View Full Version : Persario 2100 CA Shuts off?

My friend has a Compaq Persario 2100CA that shuts off when hes playing games like GTA2 and Age of Empires. It shuts off at random times.. No specific pattern. This is when he is on AC power. Thats all the info I have. What is this generally caused by?

Most likely overheating, is it the laptop or desktop. If it's a laptop clean out the CPU fan.

He said he kept it on his desk all the time and it just started within the last few monthes. He won't know how to clean the CPU fan so I'll have to do it for him. Thanks for the reply. If you offer onsite services.. he lives in Scarborough.. U of T Campus :D just kidding. :)

I own the same model Laptop just a higher model, 2115CA. It's Easy to clean, just turn the machine off, turn it upside down, get a can of compressed air and blast it in the the only fan opening. You should see a cloud of dust come out. I had to do that once.
