Radeon problems Please help

well i got a radeon (upgrading from gf2mx) and so far i'm kinda dissapointed.

I get these pauses (or "hicups") during gameplay. some games it happens more than others, but in 3dmark200 i get a score of 3000 points its so bad. my sys

epox 8k7a+
radeon 32mb ddr
256mb crucial ram

i got the latest drivers and have tried reinstalling them. any one have aby idea's ? i've also messed w/ the bios but no luck.

also,where can i get some files to oc my card? tweakfiles.com is gone :(

download that and tweak away...its a very good program
The hicups are cause by something running in the background...I found this out today...try running opengl also if u can...

u may have to edit your registry and remove everything from the geforce2mx, or if you feel up to a reformat...start from a clean slate is always best when upgradeing videocard...I havent done this yet cause i just got settled in w2kpro and dont feel like reformating...also my cpu is slow...when running 3dmark 2000 run 32bit color and 32bit textures ur scores will be higher...

i tried quiting all the background programs and running at 32bit, but no improvement. I'm downloading the tweaker now.

I'm betting your GF2 drivers are slowing you down.

I moved from a GF2mx to my Radeon without a format and it was like yours.

But a format fixed it, and now it whips that stupid mx :)

ok i did some tweaking and deleated the gf2mx registry intries rebooted and it seem s to help in games, 3dmark the same (oh well) i was playing hh2002 and its running way faster!! before on my geforce2mx oced to 200x200 i would get 30-40fps now its 60+ !!! can't wait till i oc! plus i get "free" 32bit colur.

oh and when i run the (no oced) radeon at 1600x1200x32 its faster than the (oc'ed) gf2mx @ 1024x768x16!. man i'm starting to like this card :)
