Sorry to say but it sounds like your board is permanently damaged. Better luck next time.

Check If Any Thing Is Being Shorted By The Thermal Paste Or The Heatsink Something Like That Hapened To My Friends 9800 Xt Artic Silver Was Bridgeing Some Contacts

Other Than That It Sounds Like U Physicaly Damaged The Card

Yeah, aside from the potential of shorting from Arctic Silver, it definitely sounds like physical damage. Don't feel bad, I've sent a few cards (including my beloved 9700PRO) to an early grave while tinkering with them in a machine shop < bad environment for PC hardware!
Well, now you can suprise her with a new videocard (hint hint) instead of just a new heatsink! A great card for the money is one of the 128bit Geforce 6200's (not the Turbo Crap version). She'll be able to enjoy PureVideo and better FPS too! ;)

Pretty much i don't have a choice but to get a new one......i don't remember slamming or scratching and put more stress on it so maybe it might be the bridge thing.....and if it were to be physically damanged i don't think it would work....i might shower it with alcohole.....but other than that.....new card it is....thanks guys....
