I successfully oc'ed my 1.2 Axia "K" to 1.4G But if I set the FSB to 141 (from 140) OR up the multi to 10.5 (fsb 133) then it starts causing problems. At 10.5, when windows finishes booting, it says a registry error and reboots continually. If i set the Multi to 11 it freezes when loading. The other day I was sitting here and got the blue screen of death (multi 10 fsb 140). I had to hard reset and when scandisk loaded, the text was all messed up. So i reset again and lowered the fsb to 133. I am running a 300 watt psu and 2 128m pc133 ram (1 is cas 2 compatible, the other is not). I am assuming my PSu can't supply the power. I have 2 92mm, 1 60mm, 1 Radio Shack Turbo fan, HSF 7000 rpm, Video Card fan, and NorthBridge Fan. My 5 volt hangs around 4.83 and my 12 volt hangs about 11.89. My temps are better than Average (so I've been told). So, I suppose I better let this post and see if anyone responds.

i think it's that your chip hits the limit

try burning in at the most stable highest speed for a while

should help a bit

I doubt its your PSU. I honestly think as Sky does that its your Chip or Ram holding you back. Alot of times people forget about Ram as being a cause of limits on Overclocking. If you have 2 different types of RAM I would pull 1 stick the one you consider not as good quality and try your Overclock again and see if there are any gains there. Ram from Crucial has had a good rep for Overclocking to 140 to 150 as I have read in the Forum over a bit of time. Hope it helps some...

cool deal, I'll give that a shot and see what happens. I know the CAS3 ram is just a generic ram from some backwoods place. Anyways, thanx for the help, i'll try it.

well it could be the memory, do you have any other to test because it may be hitting its limit. It also may be the CPU is hitting its limit. You may not have good enough hsf. What is it? If you get a better HSF you may be able to run it at a higher speed, also burning it in may help.

Nope. Gonna try removing the lesser brand ram and see.

dynatron with a 7000 rpm fan. Stays at 39c full load @ 1401 (10.5x133) with room temp 21c. well, I guess 1.4 is better than nothing if nothing else works.

If you get a better HSF you may be able to run it at a higher speed, also burning it in may help.

Need to try that.....
