How can you tell if your board supports the AthlonXP. I've got an abit-kg7raid and the specs say that it will support all future amd socket a processors based on 200 and 266 mhz fsb, so i assume my board supports it. Thanks.

taa daa, you have answered your own question! It will support, When they come out with a new named chip it still uses the same basic processor machenism. So the only limitation is the DDR speed which as you said was supported, I woudln't worry about your board, it will be good for at least 2 years.

I'm of the belief that most KT133A and nearly every DDR board will support Palo.... they'll just need BIOS flashes. Those BIOS updates are most likely already written and will become available once Palomino hits the streets.
Especially with a company like Abit - they're great about getting updated BIOSes out to their board users.

Well the Palomino has hit the streets and yet no Bios from Abit?
Must not be so good after all, since 3 other mobo companies have released Bios's for the XP and Abit is dragging there feet again, they make good things but they like to take there time about it.
