sorry bout the pics - batteries are completely wasted so this is all i could grab for the moment

temps - cpu idle 18c load 29-32c with prime/pi/etc...s&m a little higher of course lol thats at 2650 1.6v

gpus @ 450/1150 about 35c idle and 40c under load ...2nd card sometimes 1-2c cooler than 1st through rad fans when they're @ 12v :D

as far as CBBID's go i think i got a half decent one, seen quite a few ppl struggling to get past 2.3/2.4 and i haven't really hit the volts yet ...i'd expect it to be happy at 2.7 with a bit more than ive given. seems happy enough at 295 htt too which is nice, it wasn't too co-operative past 265 last week.... and i don't know if it's a few days of sentenial like burning-in or just me getting the right ram timings on this dfi board finally but it's getting there. i do want a fx but they're out of stock here in the UK and now i'm just gonna sit with this until the 57's are out.

these xinruilian fans are working pretty good imo ....although this is my first wc effort so i have nothing else to compare them with, but even @ 7v the load temps hold pretty well and is fairly quiet too, at most theres 1-2c difference between 7 & 12v. due to the thickness of the BIX i thought i may have needed some 120cfm deltas but these are rated at 90cfm and seem to be doing well enough for me.

very nice, how is your rad run? it looks to me like it's on the bottom of your case... can you take a better pic of it when you get your batteries charged up?

marscay

yeh the stacker case come with an inlet on the bottom already cut-out not much smaller than the rad itself which gives it some clean air to pull through...albeit from underneath the case, but with the wheels on theres some good clearance.

is that the triple 120mm rad? if so, i thought the vent at the bottom was only the size of like 2...

marscay
03-01-05, 12:49 PM
it's a little bit longer than 2x120mm from memory ....not much though.

here's a bench i just did @ 2650 ....wish i had that FX :argue:

Thats an absolutly horrible setup. Just give it to me and make sure its properly disposed of.... :D

Nice work man. Is there a shroud on the rad?

there's a built in plenum on the rad ... not terribly deep but.

The whole SLI thing really hurts for all of us still stuck with AGP. Those 3DMark scores really make me feel small.

no all that stuff in my sig is gone ....including mach-ii :argue:

after using both i think water is definitely the way to go unless your hobby is benching - for 24/7 use water for me everytime.

no condensation proofing the board, cheaper, cool gpu(s) at same time, quieter, easier installation and potentially less hassle.

Very nice are those the regular height DD GPU coolers? I am waiting on a DD gpu and a G4 myself right now. Waiting sucks.

are you sure those temps are correct? it can't be that low w/ single BIX III that cooled CPU and Dual Video Card :-/

Temp is irrelavent.... i dont think it matters, most motherbard give incorrect temp. Heck i've seen 2 exact boards have complelte diff temp perspective.

these fans pull almost 300cfm combined when @ 12v, plus theres an inlet on the bottom of the tray in this stacker case which gives some nice fresh air to draw through.

on the same setup with air (stock hsf) i was getting 28c idle on cpu and around 43c max on load ...that was only o/c to 2200 and default volts from memory also.

on air gpu1 was 55c idle and 70c+ load
on air gpu2 was around 60c idle and 75+ load

so i think the temps are pretty accurate ....remember the BIX3 is a massive radiator.

MameXP is right about temps, u can only compare to your same setup with air for comparison as 2 boards can vary.

smokenjoe - yes these are the non SLI acetal version.....wish i had my name down for a G4 :( enjoy, and if you decide you don't want it u can PM me anytime :)

After all that work to get one I dont think I will be selling it soon. Doesnt look like I really need it though with low temps the CPU is pulling on a cheap HSF.

Looks cool, but could look a lot better with some cleaner wiring.

that looks awesome .. nice setup .. im thinking bout doing the same thing in the next month or so .. also looking at getting the stacker case .. so how much modding did it take to fit that rad there .. and are you sucking all that air into ur case with just 1x120 exhausting it ? also how many 120s are u running up front ?? do u think there is enough room up front to fit a bix2 without modding besides taking the screen out ?

also where did u locate ur pump ? any chance u can post a pic ? thanks
