hey all

well it's been awhile 2 years since my last posting on this forum :)
to bad it was good for my english :P

but I'm back, and with a problem,

I did the p3 voltage mod on my celeron 850, and its realy stable @ 1106 @ 2.05 Vcore using watercooling, but.. i wanna go further :) In the bios of my cuv4x i can choose upto 2.4V core, but when i change the vcore to anything higher then 2.05 the darned thing won't load windows :( what could be the problem?

i was thinking about th PSU, its an old one, 235Watt but it'll be replaced soon.

temps look nice, max 29c while room is 19c

any solutions?

The PSU could be the problem and as well anything over 2.1 is insanely high [but hey you may get lucky] but your CPU may be rejecting the higher CV [a little to much for her]

lol i did know there was a max clockspeed for cpu's, but a max Vcore ? :P

how can i see if its the PSU or not ?
the strange thing is, it always locks up at the same "point" just before loading windows.

about burning the thing : fortunately i have a backup cpu :) celeron 667 did 900 without voltage mod with an alpha pep66 :)

All CPU's even the same make size and family will react differently to high CV and FSB. if your wondering about the PSU you may have to try and install one atleast 300w if that does not fix it maybe you can take it back but since your not adding that much extra CV i would think that the CPU is just bugging out from the CV being to high but at the same time if your maxing the system out as it stands as far as the PSU is concerned then maybe it is causing part of the problem. What is the default CV of your CPU?

It's a cC0 chip, so the default is 1.7V , to bad i wanted a cD0 :(

Well it sounds now that your just pushing to much CV through her. there is a term for this and i think i have it wrong but its something like electromidigration LOL I hope somebody corrects me soon :) but you get the point. have fun
