I read on Tom's hardware that they recommend this network card, 3Com 3C905C. So being it seems to be a good card how about a router by them specifically this one on ebay 3Com 3C510 router (http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1277710448)

It looks like a nice router. It allows Cable?DSL/Dialup Shareing. It is also a print server.
Sounds alot like the SMC Barricade.
3COM has been making some of the best networking equipmemt for businesses for years. I would buy anything from 3COM.

Yeah 3Com is great as long as whatever you buy from them doesn't say "Home" in it. Their home connect and other home systems are total garbage aimed at people with absolutely no experience in networking at all.
The 905C is a great nic, I have one and it's taking all the FSB I can throw at it. I had trouble where Im at now, but a greenie heatsink on it cured that.

I've got the 905C and it works like a dream ... never had any problems with low end nics either tho.

3COM is good, here at WorldOnline UK all the machines are powered with 3COM equipment.
I'm only a techie but they are good quality manufacturers.

They make good stuff. Although like stated earlier, their 'home' use products are crap.
