Another New Folder!

OK, I finally went and dl'd the folding client: I have it running on one pc just now to see how it affects the SETI client. If all goes well I'll add Folding to the SETI duties all 4 cpus( 5 tonight!) currently run.

Any extra advice will be accepted (speed tweaks, etc!)

SETI shouldn't be affected very much. F@H takes up only unused CPU cycles, but any machines are welcome

Welcome to the Team Roger! If you've got four boxes..you could also consider dedicating two for SETI and Two for Folding...just an idea! Welcome again!

Welcome new folder, I have a few tips to offer.

1) Open The System Properties In Windows (you are on windows aren't you?

2)Click on performance and make sure that your System Respurces are over 80% even more if you can.

3) Try not to run virus checkers while F@H is going it uses CPU cycles.

4) Make sure your internet connection is working so that it connects as soon you have finished a work unit to submit the results to Stanford.
