Just unlocked my proc, and the highest I can overclock it to stably is 1150....

My system:
Abit KT7-Raid
Athlon 1.1 200FSB
Asus V8200
384 pc-133 SDRAM
2 IBM 20 gigs....

I tried turning the Vcore up to 1.850 and it still is unstable at anything higher then 1150mhz

Suggestions?

A little more info would help people give you pointers. What temps, voltages, cooling etc are you using?

what stepping is ur CPU would help as well.

Presently runnign 1.800 Vcore 11.5x100 using Thermaltake Volcanoe II HSF..

The computer will become unstable with a FSB higher then 103..

And I am not sure what you mean by steppings, please expain..

your board won't achieve a hig fsb because it uses the kt133 chipset which is known to crap out at 108mhz or around there.

The stepping is located on the cpu itself (die). it basiclly tells you when you cpu was made and what stepping (or revision) it is. some codes are better than others.

What is the size of your power supply?

I would find out the stepping, but I have to take out my power supply and stuff to get the hsf off.....

it is a 300w generic PS....

I am going to get a 430 Enermax soon.

Have you tried a higher multiplier?
I mean without raising the FSB.
Your load temps do not look to good...

the only possible thing you can do is up the multiplier as u have a kt133 chip that mostly cant do higher than 110fsb

you should get some better cooling before you start to o/c as the temps are kinda high(load temp)

my t-bird runnning at 1510 with a cak38 is colder tha you....full load at 50C

I tried setting it to 1200(12x100) at 1.850 vcore, and it was unstable...

i would get better cooling, but I think I would go insanse from the noise level. I had an FOP-38 with my oc'ed Duron before, and it was mighty loud.

I've known several people with 1.1 Athlon's and none of them would overclock worth a $#!T. None of them got over 1200, no matter what. Seems yours is typical
