Only way to go back is to delete the partition w/ fdisk and the repartition and format the drive their is no way to convert ntfs to fat32.

ok, what you need to do is get an NTFS startup disk, not the Win98 ones, they do not have the NTFS drivers.

You can convery ntfs back to fat 32 with partition magic 7 boot disk on the fly I believe...

Also you can delete the ntfs partition with partition magic boot disk no problem.

You need to use fdisk (or another partitioning utility) to delete your existing ntfs partitions, create new partition(s), then use format from your dos boot floppy.

Hope this helps :)

I *THINK* you can delete the existing partition with FDISK. I am not sure, but if your NTSF partition is the only one on the hard drive, you'll have no prob finding it IF FDISK SEES IT. If it can see it, it won't say it's a NTSF partition, it'll just say it's a "non-dos partition". Just delete it, create a new FAT32 (or whatever other format you want), and format that new partition. All you need is a Windows 98, 95, or any other OS that has FDISK with FAT format. Don't forget that all that is hypothetical, as I don't have WinXP !

Hope this helps !

since it's ntfs, it doesn't use dos which means you just use fdisk and delete the "non-dos partition"
