Here's one for ya: My cable is out. I'm getting only a handful of stations and they are being broadcast on the wrong channels. That may not seem strange but I have @HOME internet service. How am I able to post this message????? My cable internet is solid but my tv reception is shot. I called someone in a different part of my city and they have the same cable problem so it isn't just me. There's a sytem wide failure to Rogers cable that doesn't affect Rogers@HOME service. Never thought I'd see that.

Your TV Cable is running on different frequencies than your Internet Cable. It is common having one go down and another still works, although I'm not sure about how they are on the wrong stations...

Apparently someone really dropped the ball at Rogers and Shaw. According to Rogers people all of the 416 and most of the 905 area code were suffering the same problem as myself. Bit by bit as they fixed it things fell slowly back into place, a few channels at a time. At first there were no stations, then 3 but on the wrong channels, then one of the buffalo affiliates of one of the American big three was on at least 9 seperate channels at the same time. Then a few more stations, some in the wrong channels, etc. Man was it stupid.

I'm in 416, and I didn't see anyproblems... ( I just have rogers tv tho.. no cable for me.. ) When was it? if it was on the weekend, then i was out of the area...

Sunday from approximately 5pm to 11pm.

For those who have no idea just what the 416 and 905 compose they are two area codes that have about 50% of the province of Ontario's 10 million person population living within them. 5 million people without proper tv! That's pathetic.
