I use SETI 100% of the time, but If seti goes down ill use E@H..

How do I save my current work finished with e@h but stop it from useing any of my resources when SETI comes back up?

Last time I did that I detached and I think I lost all my work (I was like 80% done with 4) :temper: .

Or actually... im thinking now... would I have to goto properties and set it to 0% resource share???

Ideas?

Thx!

in the boinc folder, there are the "account files".

In this file, normaly the shared ressource level is "stored" while having a connection to the server.
Like now, when seti is a bit "offline", no update can be made over the (project) servers.

But you can edit and change the values by yourself (make a backup prior)

here is a snipple from the account...LHC file
</project_specific>
<venue name="home">
<resource_share>500</resource_share>
<project_specific>
<color_scheme>Tahiti Sunset</color_scheme>
</project_specific>

The blue colored value ist your friend.
Repeat the process for every "workarea" (home, school, work, default)
good luck

The latest beta client allows you to suspend projects and/or specific WUs. If you're only running einstein when seti is down though it might be better to let them finish and then reset or detach the project. Otherwise the next time you start working on them they might be way past the deadline.
