Well currently I'm running@ 868 and I'd like to squeeze a bit more out of it since at current I'm running 37c to 39c idle and 41c 42c underload(looping 3dmark2k)

Well I'm using the mini jet engine air cooler...er I mean dragon orb 3(7000rpm model) I feel it does pretty well considering my ambient temp isn't very consistant( nephews/family get cold so they cut air off).

Anyway what I'm thinking about doing is since my mb doesn't support bios changes to the vcore or multiplier and since I can't afford to upgrade to a more overclocking friendly motherboard(have to save money to build a barn for my horse before winter).
So what I'm wanting to do is change the multiplier on the chip to 8.0.

Question#1 What could I expect in temp increase from doing that?

Also thought about uping the voltage via the L7's, but I hate to jump all the way to 1.85 if I don't need to.

What would you all think would be acceptable voltage increase for the increased 8.0 multiplier?

IF I did increase it to 1.85 what kind of heat/speed increase would that alone result in?

unlock it and try running it at or above 133 if your ram can take it! try 5x133(DEVIL's overclock) and then 5.5x133, 6x133 adn I bet you system will do better with a 1/4 divider!

umm try 133bus....i dont know how to get it on my 700duron it woulnt boot for soem strange reason...but i got my duron up to 969Mhz with 1.85volts i had it like that for 1month dident hurt it hehe...1.85 is great after u hit 2.2v then i would have doubts going farther...

if anybody knows is there a way to make your cpu jumper up at 133bus? like L# pins on the cpu....since my 700duron is allready unlocked factory i wana tryto get more outa it...and i gota 650duron to play with also...i am getting board with my 1ghz axia..at 1.414ghz...with 149fsb.....with ram set to 3cas i was able to boot into windows with 175fsb ....then with CPUFSB bumped it up to 179fsb befour my board ran out of options..it output numbers were jibirish and wehn i tried it my computer just blue screand out...here is the highest wcpuid pic i took while messing with itc:\my documents\170mhz fsb.bmp

as far as overclocking this board stinks....can only adjust FSB to 100/100,112/112,124/124,100/133,133/133,138/138,142/142,150/150,160/160

When first installed it I would boot up@133/133...but now it hangs loading windows(suppose that would mean ram related). It has never even POSTed at 100/133 for some reason. I didn't try really hard to get it too though.

I may think about trying to get a 8kha when they revise it to the kt266a...so far it is the cheapest overclockable board, but $100+ is too much to be spending until after I get my horse a barn built.

So I'm left with A)be satisfied with what I've got or B) see how far I can tweak it and hope for the best.

I'm leaning towards tweaking ;)

What's the absolute worst that can happen? just a fried chip? of can it take out my whole system?

Love this board though..it's been rock stable since I got it..on board LAN is pretty good...extra game port is nice so I don't have to swap out controllers(no usb controllers)
