I was having a error(404) message a lot from my Iomega 250mb zip drive's driver's.So i sent the report to M$ and they sent me a reply and told me to download a program which i can not remember the name of .But it monitors your drivers well it monitor's the one's that you select it to monitor and sends info to M$ and Iomega to help them find fixes for the error..You have to install this program in safe mode.Well ever since i installed it my temps have been at 43c idle when normal is 28-31c and cpu usage is at0-50% at all times causing this temp.I ran spyware and antivrus checks to make it was something like that and they detected nothing but kazaa...lol which i know i have. Here's the real problem i cant remember the programs name and i deleted the folder that i had it in by mistake .Does anyone no the name of this program? something.exe and you have to open it in safe mode and start it from the run box and uninstall it from safe mode also.I looked in my history but i cant find the download page i ran serches looking for.Help i really dont wanna reinstall windows again.

I also noticed that the task manger shows the process but it flashes in and out to fast for me to get the name of the file or what ever also this program run's in DOS.Im trying to get the name if i can catch ill add it to here.

Well just to let you know i fixed it and it was what i thought it was.I Got an idea and it worked i went into windows restore and restored windows to the day i was having the error and i got the same error.the program itself was from iomega not MS and it was called the DRIVER VERIFIER it monitors that driver and send's info to iomega about it.But any way its fixed and my PC is idling again at 32c

I don't know about the program, but anything that requires cpu time to send info about my computer to M$ is a no no in my book.
