i had a steady stream filling up my case. it would not turn on then i poured all the water out and it still did not turn on. did i do somthing wrong. LOL:D

Actually as long as you didn't fill up the PSU it should still work, I think.

just let everything dry out or pour alcohol on the mobo and the affected components so as to evaporate the water quicker and then give it a go

I think I see your problem. You didn't add any water wetter. Although, I think (in this case only) laundry detergent would be an equally effective solution. :)
If that doesn't work.. just throw your PC in a pond with a long extension cord. That should keep it nice and cool... heh
